“It always gives me great pleasure to return to this biennial conference, and today is no exception. This international gathering is hosted by Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah, named in honour of my father, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah (Marhum Al-Maghfur-Lah). Indeed, perhaps that is why it feels almost like a homecoming. I have returned to this conference over the years, to speak on topics from “Global Peace” to “Our Future World” and, most recently, on “Sharing Our Humanity”. It is, without fail, an exciting, energizing occasion: a conference that tackles the very biggest questions of our present moment, bringing together great minds to pursue solutions for the future.”
